Curse of the Corsair (2023)
- WolverineSoft Studio
Technical Sound Designer
Curse of the Corsair is an educational case study of Heart Machine's Hyper Light Drifter, and takes inspiration
from its game mechanics as well as other games in the genre.
For this action-packed project, I designed SFX and C# audio scripts to implement several dynamic audio effects. The
player character's varied movement and abilities in this game made for some great opportunities to challenge myself
with rich, layered sounds with randomized variation that never got old. I also assited other members of the team
in implementing their dymanically evolving music into Unity and Wwise.
Subtension (2022)
- WolverineSoft Studio
Audio Lead
Subtension was created by two teams across the summer and fall. It is an educational
case study of Subset Game's FTL: Faster Than Light, and takes
inspiration from its game mechanics as well as other games in the genre.
I led the audio of this project over both production cycles by creating audio style guides, designing SFX, composing music, running dialogue
recording sessions in an audio studio, and acting as the lead audio programmer. This time around, I also guided the
rest of the audio team in becoming familiar with implementing audio in Wwise and Unity. This was the first time in the studio
where the every member of the audio team was involved with implementation to some degree, not just the audio lead!
This game also features the most voiced narrative scenes of any WolverineSoft game to date, now with multiple story endings.
Branch Out (2022)
Sound Engineer and Recordist
Branch Out is a comedic thriller short film created by a talented and self-motivated team of students.
It has been selected by several film festivals across the country including the LA Comedy Film Festival and Afrikana Independent Film Festival.
For this short film, I led the recording for production dialogue, operated boom mic, managed ADR sessions for post-production dialogue recording,
edited the dialogue track, and completed the final audio mix consisting of dialogue, overdubs, music, and ambiences.
Twin Blade's Vengeance (2022)
- WolverineSoft Studio
Audio Lead
Twin Blades' Vengeance a 2-player 2.5D side-scroller beat-em-up, inspired by retro classics like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Streets of Rage.
This was my first time as the audio lead for a game project! I guided the sound style for the game, made
some of the sound effects and music tracks, and did all of the implementation work via Wwise and Unity. I'm most proud of the dynamic music system that smoothly
changes states depending on the gameplay's intensity!
Ragnarök TD (2021)
- WolverineSoft Studio
Composer and Sound Designer
Ragnarök TD is a tower defense strategy game case study of Bloons Tower Defense 6. This was my first time with WolverineSoft Studio as a member of the audio department. For this project, I created several of the music tracks and sound effects and acted as the sound engineer for recording and editing dialogue. This was the first time a game in the studio had voiced narrative scenes!
Bromance (2021)
Recordist and Sound Designer
Bromance is a student short film made by a team of 7. This is the first student film I've worked on. I had the role of sound director and was responsible for recording and mixing dialogue; creating sound effects; and editing, mixing, and mastering all of the sonic components together for the final product.
Void (2020) [Full Audio]
In the Sight & Sound project, I was one of several students who worked along with the University of Michigan Museum of Art by
creating either an original musical work or a new recording of existing works, to accompany each grouping of art pieces in the UMMA’s
Collection Ensemble installation.
"Void" is an original composition inspired by two sculptures, Flora (1850) by Richard James Wyatt and Nydia,
the Blind Flower Girl of Pompeii (1861) by Randolph Rogers, as well as by the photograph print Basílica do Palácia Nacional de
Mafra (2006) by Candida Höfer.
